Black Ops 7 Weapon Prestige: Every Tier and Reward

Weapon Prestige lets you reset a maxed gun in Black Ops 7 for rewards you cannot get any other way: Prestige camos that work on every weapon, a weapon-specific attachment and charm, and permanent attachment unlocks. It is separate from your account Prestige. Here is every tier, what it gives you, and what you lose when you reset.

Account Prestige and Weapon Prestige are different

Your account levels from 1 to 55 (Commander). Black Ops 7 has 10 account Prestiges, then Prestige Master, where your level can climb to 1,000.

Weapon Prestige is per gun. Once a weapon reaches its max level, you can prestige it in the Gunsmith, which resets that one weapon's level for rewards. Your account level is not touched.

The four Weapon Prestige tiers

Activision lists four tiers for every weapon:

1. Weapon Prestige 1
2. Weapon Prestige 2
3. Weapon Prestige Master, where the weapon levels up to 250
4. Weapon Prestige Max

Some guides count these differently (for example, calling Master the third prestige), but the rewards below are the same however you number them.

What each tier gives you

Prestige 1

• A weapon-specific Prestige Attachment
• A Permanent Unlock for that weapon
• A universal Prestige 1 camo, usable on any gun
• A ready-made Prestige build and a Prestige icon

Prestige 2

• A universal Prestige 2 camo
• A second Permanent Unlock
• A weapon-specific charm and a Prestige 2 icon

Prestige Master

• Every attachment in the weapon's progression permanently unlocked
• Three Prestige Master camos, at weapon levels 100, 150 and 200
• XP rewards and a Prestige Master icon

Prestige Max

• A unique final camo, which is universal
• A Prestige Max icon

The universal camos are the big draw: they are among the few camos in the game you can put on any weapon, so one fully prestiged gun shows off across your whole loadout.

What resets, and what you keep

When you prestige a weapon:

• Its level goes back to 1.
• Its earned attachments lock again, except optics.
• Its builds are reset.

You keep:

• Optics and weapon camos, including camo challenge progress.
• Your customization: reticles, charms, decals, stickers and camos.

That last point matters for camo hunters: prestiging does not undo camo progress, so you can level and prestige a gun while still working through its camos.

How to get through it faster

• Prestige the guns you actually use. The rewards are per weapon, apart from the universal camos.
• Use the Permanent Unlocks on attachments you want on every build of that gun, so a reset costs you less.
• Double Weapon XP tokens and events make the biggest difference in the long stretch from Prestige Master to level 250.
